The Vikings knotted the score early in the fourth quarter, but a Saquon Barkley touchdown run five

minutes later proved to be the game's decisive factor. The Giants never punted once throughout the whole contest.

Late in the fourth, the Vikings had an opportunity to tie the game,

but Kirk Cousins missed his pass on fourth and eight, and the Giants held on.

The Giants' Twitter account went very hard on Minnesota after the game, repurposing their opponents' "Skol Vikings" chant in a brutal manner.

This was fitting given that it was the Giants' first playoff victory since 2011, and it was also in response to a Vikings tweet celebrating

their victories over the Giants, New York Jets, and Buffalo Bills this season by calling themselves "New York's Favorite Team."
