Ken Block, a professional rally driver, died in a snowmobile accident. On Monday, Hoonigan's Instagram account acknowledged the death of its creator.

Block died at the age of 55, after becoming a legend in the car enthusiast world, mainly for his work on the Gymkhana series.

It is with great sadness that we inform Ken Block's death today in a snowmobile accident," the statement says.

"Ken was a visionary, a pioneer, and an icon. Most significantly, he is a father and a spouse. He will be sorely missed.

The 911 call was answered by the Sheriff's Office, Utah State Parks, and the United States Forest Service.
